<span style="color: #222222;">Centre today said that Members of Parliament under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, SAGY, have identified a total of 1,696 Gram Panchayats across the country till last month of this year. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said Gram Panchayats identified under SAGY prepare Village Development Plans, VDP, through a participatory process under the guidance of Members of Parliament. <br />''<br />''The VDP includes prioritized time-bound activities to achieve holistic progress of the village. He said so far 1327 Gram Panchayats have their VDPs containing over seventy thousand projects on the SAGY. Out of these, the implementation of over 42 thousand projects has been completed so far.</span><br />
