<span style="color: #222222;">In Tripura, every gram panchayat in the non-Autonomous District Council (ADC) areas and village committees in the ADC areas are vibrantly working to break the chain of COVID-19 pandemic at the village level. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, every member of gram panchayats in the non-ADC areas and Village Committees in the ADCs particularly in border villages are giving strong vigil on the entry of foreigners in the villages. Director of Panchayats, Mr. RK Noatia told AIR News that panchayat and village committee members in border villages visit door to door to check if there is any foreigner who has entered the villages. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Noatia further informed that besides, every member is also extending help in providing cook foods to the poor and needy, in the distribution of food materials and PPE materials, educating villagers Dos and Don'ts about Coronavirus etc. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Moreover, the members are regularly checking the availability of essential commodities in the grocery shops as well as if there is any price hike of essential items in grocery shops. The members are also taking an active role in making ensure social distancing among the villagers. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Nevertheless, they are also making frequent visits to home quarantined people to inquire about their health status.</span><br />
