Central Board of School Education (CBSE) has directed all of it's afiliated schools to depute guards on school buses and fit the vehicles with CCTV cameras, GPS systems, sirens and grilles on windows. School authorities will also have to provide one mobile phone in each bus and ensure that the buses are not permitted to overtake any four-wheeler while carrying children.<br/><br/>The CBSE issued the new comprehensive guidelines on safety of school children yesterday. The board stated that the management and the head of the school will be held responsible for any lapse which could lead to disaffiliation.
