Govt's key priority to ensure quality of healthcare in hospitals : JP Nadda

Union Health Minister JP Nadda today said, ensuring quality of healthcare in public and private sector hospitals is government's key priority. Launching the 10th Common Review Mission report of the National Health Mission Mr Nadda emphasised on the need for developing sturdy healthcare systems for eliminating diseases like leprosy, malaria and kala-azar.<br/><br/>He said, strong healthcare systems and time-bound and structured disease elimination plans need to be developed. Mr Nadda said, innovative strategies and new ideas are needed to take on new challenges in healthcare sector.<br/><br/>Mr Nadda said, the government has launched several new initiatives in the last three years towards expanding access to healthcare and its reducing costs.<br/><br/>Mr Nadda informed that under the universal screening of common NCDs programme, everyone above the age of 30 years will be screened in the 100 districts of the country in the first phase and the programme will be expanded to the entire country gradually.
