Well Known Economic Analyst S Gurumurthy today said that terror and naxal activities have considerably decreased following the government's decision of demonetising of old high value currency notes. <br/><br/>Speaking at a function in New Delhi on the issue of Demonetisation, Mr Gurumurthy said, the incidents of stone pelting in Kashmir has come to a grinding halt and schools are functioning normaly. <br/>He said, it has resulted because of unscruplous elements fanning unrest in the valley are now facing cash crunch and are not in a position to finance their activities.He described the government's decision as a paradigm shift.<br/><br/>Speaking to AIR, Mr. Gurumurthy said that the demonetisation decision would encourage more employment opportunities and enhance growth in the country.<br/><br/>Prasar Bharati Chairman Dr. A Surya Prakash was also present on the occasion.
