Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today said that government is working with Bureau of Indian Standards, BIS to introduce the regime of strict quality standards for consumer products and services.Addressing the World Standards Day function in New Delhi , Mr Paswan said, BIS Act will be amended soon for efficient services to the consumers. The Minister said, Indian products should meet international quality standards in all respects and compliance to standards by industry will pave way for the success of government's Make in India initiative.He added that adoption of standards facilitates a level playing field to all enterprises and helps them to overcome the technical gaps to reach global markets and to improve quality of life for all.
