Electronics and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today said government is working towards transforming India into a digitally empowered nation and imparting digital literacy to the last mile of rural India. He said this while inaugurating the NIELIT Bhawan, a state of the art green building of the National Institute of Electronics and IT at Dwarka in New Delhi. <br/><br/>Mr Shakar also launched web enabled services, including e content of NIELIT course and online accredition software aiming at widening its reach and boosting employability for rural and urban youth. <br/><br/>The Minister said initially NIELIT would privide digital literacy to 6 crore people. He also said he will suggest Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to make NIELIT part of GST training.<br/><br/>
