Govt. working to enact a law to make right to justice a fundamental right

The government is working to enact a law to make right to justice a fundamental right for Indian citizens. Addressing 23rd Law Asia Conference in New Delhi, the Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily stressed upon making legal aid programme more effective and efficient so that all the sections of the society, including the poor, can have better access to justice. Speaking on the occasion, Justice R V Raveendran, a senior Supreme Court judge said better access to justice is required for the uplifting the poor.
