The Government is working on guidelines to give performance based incentives to its employees. In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, minister of state for Personnel V Narayanasamy said the sixth Central Pay Commission has recommended introduction of new performance based pecuniary benefit, over and above the regular salary, for Government employees. Mr Narayanasamy said the benefit will be called Performance Related Incentive Scheme and the guidelines are being worked out through inter-departmental consultation.
