<span style="color: #222222;">Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has said that the government is working in a mission mode to clean Ganga.<br />'' <br />'' He asserted that the flow of raw sewage into the river Ganga will be completely stopped by 2022.  <br />'' <br />'' The Minister said everybody from common men to corporates has to come on board to achieve this mission as India cannot afford the duality of the scarcity of safe drinking water on one hand and wastage of 25 odd litres of water in a shower bath.  <br />'' <br />'' Addressing an event in New Delhi, Mr Shekhawat said, everyone in the society has to come on board to ensure the availability of safe and clean water.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Shekhawat said, declining sources of water has been a major challenge before humanity.<br />'' <br />''The government is also planning to provide piped water to a large population. He said though India is having 18 per cent of the world population and an equal percentage of livestock, but the share of water is less than four per cent and that too is mostly contaminated. </span>
