Govt. Working at improvising infrastructure of NE: Palam Raju

Union Minister of State for Defence M M Palam Raju said that the Government is working at improvising the infrastructure of the North east Region and to therefore greater opportunity are in the anvil. Gracing the on-going Special National Integration Camp at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, as chief guest on today, the Union minister said that one of the most important aspect a National Cadet Corp should have is a strong value system to be able to contribute to the nation and to self for security. While making a mention of the prominent figures of the country like the Vice President of India Ansari and the Governor of Nagaland Nikhil Kumar as NCC Cadets making it to the highest position in the country, Mr. Raju expressed the hope that the young cadets in the camp will also rise to prominent position of the country in the years to come. He expressed the hope that in the years to come that the NCC will have far more comprehensive exposure to developmental activities and also exposing the entire Cadet in terms of IT and moral activities. He said that India need bright men and women for keeping the nation secure and called upon the young cadets to be committed and play an important role in integrating the nation. With an aim to foster the spirit of National Integration, Unity and Discipline among the cadets from across the country the 12 day National Integration Camp was attended by approximately 650 cadets hailing from all the states of the country, including the Union Territory of Andaman Nicobar, drawn from all the 17 Directorates from across the country, The camp will come to a close on 11th December 2009.<br/>
