Home Minister Rajnath Singh has reiterated that government is committed to Assam Accord and will take all the steps for proper implementation of the accord. Addressing the National seminar on 30 years of Assam Accord organized by All Assam Students Union today in Delhi, Home Minister remembered the sacrifice of more than 855 students who laid their lives for the cause and said that he will be traveling to Assam to visit Indo-Bangla Border after August 15. <br/><br/>The Assam Accord (1985) was a Memorandum of Settlement (MoS) signed between representatives of the Government of India and the leaders of the Assam Movement in New Delhi on 15 August, 1985 to end the the Assam Agitation about the problem of foreigners settled in Assam.
