Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah says, his government will take all necessary steps to instill a sense of security in the minds of Sikh community residing in the state. He gave this assurance during his meeting with Shiromani Akali Dal President and Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal in Srinagar this afternoon. Badal was in Srinagar in connection with the reported threats being issued to the members of the Sikh community by the separatists. Badal, who also visited Leh to distribute relief material to the victims of cloud burst, said that the Punjab government has decided to contribute one core rupees for the victims and assured all help for their speedy rehabilitation.
