Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has announced that if required, government will not hesitate from taking some bold steps on the issue of economic front in public interest. He was replying to a question in regard to demonetization and GST at a press conference in Shimla on Tuesday. <br/><br/>The senior BJP leader said, interests of people and nation are topmost for the party. He alleged that inflation rate was higher than the GDP during the UPA tenur, and the congress party is worried due to success of NDA government on the economic front.<br/><br/>Mr Rajnath Singh said that the foreign investors are coming in the country and the investment has increased. The statistics are witness of this investment, he added. He alleged that during UPA's tenure, while the domestic investors were on highway, the foreign investors were on runway. <br/><br/>Quoting World Bank report, the Home Minister said that India is the fastest growing economy in the world and its result has been visible during past one year.<br/><br/>Advising Congress party, Mr Rajnath Singh said that government decisions in public interests should not be criticized for no reason. He said, NDA government has taken several steps to control corruption and for transparency in the system, and if the congress party has any concrete suggestion in this regard it should be given to government. <br/><br/>Mr Rajnath Singh said that the decisions on demonetization and GST were taken for greater economic reforms. He said, history has shown that such big decisions might be painful initially, but ultimately bear fruit in long term.
