Govt will make all efforts in Parl to fulfill people's hopes and aspirations: PM Modi

The first session of the 16th Lok Sabha began today. The House was adjourned for the day, after paying tribute to Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde, who died yesterday in a car accident in New Delhi.

Earlier, President Pranab Mukherjee administered the oath to Congress leader Kamal Nath as Pro-tem Speaker.

Talking to reporters before entering the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Government will make all efforts in Parliament, to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of people.

Mr Modi said that people have given a huge mandate and his government will fulfill their demands.
