Government today said that it will enhance the growth in food processing from 10 per cent to 20 per cent by next year. For this Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology and Ministry of food Processing Industries entered into a memorandum with University of Saskatchewan Canada. Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Subodh Kant Sahai said that such memorandum will enhance the development in technology for better yield of crops. This will benifit both the producer and Consumer and somehow contributes in tackling food inflation in the country. Minister called for private investors in food processing sector. This memorandum includes understanding for collaborative institutional development, training, exchange of academic faculity, students and research material.
