Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh today said government will continue to regulate cotton seed prices and will not allow companies like the US biotechnology major Monsanto to exploit farmers. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr Singh said, last month, the government had fixed a uniform price of 800 rupees per packet for Bt cotton seed. The Minister said, Monsanto is a good company but it does not mean that it will loot farmers and charge any price it wishes.<br/>Mayhco Monsanto Biotech Limited, which is a joint venture firm of Monsanto, had challenged the government's seed control order in the Delhi High Court in December last year.
