The Home Minister P. Chidambaram has expressed the hope that total control over Maoist infested areas will be regained in a couple of years. Speaking at the India Economic summit in New Delhi today, Mr. P. Chidambaram said that it is wrong to think that India is more vulnerable and asserted that it has the capacity to thwart any attack. He said that the states are now taking counter-insurgency measures against naxals and significant successes have been achieved. He said coordinated action is being taken by the affected states.<br/><br/>
