The Home Minister P. Chidambaram has expressed the hope that the government will be in total control of Maoist infested areas in a couple of years. Speaking at the India Economic summit in New Delhi today, Mr. P. Chidambaram said that coordinated action is being taken by the affected states and the Centre is giving its support to fight the menace. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, top Maoist leader Kishenji said today that the Maoists are ready for a ceasefire with the government, but they will not accept Centre's demand to abjure violence.<br/><br/>Reacting to Home Secretary G K Pillai's statement that there is a possibility for dialogue with Maoists if they abjure violence, Kishenji told PTI over phone, that if the government take the initiative the Maoists are ready for a ceasefire.<br/><br/> <br/><br/> <br/><br/> <br/><br/>
