Govt warns Hajj pilgrims not to fall prey to misleading ads

The government has cautioned Hajj Pilgrims not to fall prey to the misleading advertisements promising arrangements for different types of facilities.The advice of Minority Affairs Ministry came in the wake of instances of misleading advertisements by unscrupulous elements saying that they have got Hajj quota from the Ministry. <br/><br/>The Ministry has clarified that 45 thousand Hajj seats have been allocated among 569 private tour operators for Hajj 2017 and the list is available at this Ministry's website at www.minorityaffairs.gov.in. and www.haj.gov.in. The Ministry advised the people and intending Hajj pilgrims to check the website and also make necessary enquiries to avoid incidents of cheating.
