Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has asked the industry bodies to allocate some funds from Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR for consumer awareness to protect them from misleading advertisements. Mr Paswan held a consultation meeting with various industry bodies in New Delhi yesterday and discussed various issues. <br/><br/>An official release said, both the government and industry associations have decided to work on developing a self-regulation code to be adopted by the industry for redressal of consumer grievances. Besides, they also agreed to work on launching a joint awareness campaigns, linkage of national and state consumer helplines with the industry and taking action against fake products.
