Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said the government is very much concerned towards improving agriculture sector and rural economy. He said better connectivity, improving irrigation, electrification of every household by 2018 and a massive sanitation programme in rural areas are the core objectives in this regard.<br/><br/>Mr Jaitley was addressing an International Forum on Role of Rural and Agricultural Finance to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals and 69th APRACA Executive Committee Meeting in New Delhi today. He said, it is essential for every society to provide food at affordable prices to people and ensure that agriculture community get their dues.<br/>AIR correspondent reports that around 79 international participants from the APRACA member institutions from 22 countries and about 40 participants from India attended the forum meet. It was jointly organized by APRACA & NABARD.
