The central government has undertaken plans of increasing security in the border areas of the Country by setting up more Security Out-posts. Talking to newspersons after a meeting with the West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Bannerjee, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Mr. Jitender Singh said that, he had detailed discussions on acquiring land for the purpose. Mr. Singh said that, more barbed-wire fences, and flood light are being put in place to check infiltration, smuggling and other anti-social work. He said that, the central and state government would jointly work towards this end.
