Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today said, the government has undertaken Research and Development, R&D projects in defence sector with Israel. Replying to questions in the Lok Sabha, Mr Parrikar said, Israeli companies have also set up joint ventures with Indian companies for manufacturing of defence equipment as well as R&D.<br/><br/>He said some of the procurement cases with Israeli companies also involve transfer of technology. Mr Parrikar said, the collaboration with foreign countries for strategic tie-ups is an ongoing process to safeguard overall security of the country.
