Centre has decided to write to Chief Ministers to expedite the State Legislations referred back to them by the Home Ministry. Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reviewed the status of state legislations, Bills and Ordinances which the State governments send to Centre for obtaining assent of the President. During the meeting held in New Delhi, Mr. Singh sought personal attention of Chief Ministers for expeditious response in this regard.<br/><br/>Out of 162 such Bills and Legislations pending with the Home Ministry, 100 references have been settled and 27 have been referred back to the states for clarifications. In the meeting, Mr. Singh was informed about a web-based software through which State Governments would be able to send the Bills electronically to the ministry.
