Finance Minister P Chidambaram has said the government will continue to take measures with a long term perspective to address temporary economic problems facing the country.
These problems cannot be solved by quick fixes, he told reporters in New Delhi on Friday.
Chidambaram said the government will announce steps by the end of this month or next month to boost investment and growth. He asserted that long term measures will bring stability and growth to the economy.
Referring to his meeting with Prime Minister on Thursday, Chidambaram said Dr Manmohan Singh had endorsed all the measures, which will boost the economy.
