Government has decided to set up two separate All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jammu and Srinagar. Talking to reporters in New Delhi yesterday, Health Minister J P Nadda said, a delegation of BJP leaders comprising State president Jugal Kishore, Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and State Health Minister Lal Singh met him regarding establishment of AIIMS in the state. Mr.Nadda said, AIIMS like institutions will be provided both in Jammu and Srinagar region.
