The government has proposed to set up six Spices Parks to establish common infrastructure facilities for cleaning, grading, processing and packing of spices. In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the steps are being taken to empower the spices farmers through value-addition and quality improvement of spices, along with backward linkage in various parts of the country. The projects of spice parks are being started at at Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puttadi, Kerala, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.<br/>
