The government has decided to set up a committee to revise the guidelines regarding issue of medicines to Central Government Health Services, CGHS beneficiaries suffering from chronic diseases. Replying to supplementaries, Health Minister, J P Nadda said that the committee will be headed by the Director General, CGHS. He said, the committee has been asked to submit its report within a month. He said, on the basis of its report, government will issue a revised notification for issuance of medicines from CHGS dispensaries. Mr Nadda also sought cooperation of public representatives and society at large for promoting generic medicines.
