Government proposes to set up a Committee to be headed by a Former Supreme Court judge to look into the problems relating to disparity in wage structure and seniority among employees of Air India after its merger with erstwhile Indian Airlines.Inaugurating the Centenary Celebration of Civil Aviation in India, the minister Vyalar Ravi on Friday said that the unions have agreed to cooperate with the government to bring the national carrier out of red. He also said that he has suggested the formation of committee to resolve their issues relating to services.The Minister also said that he will discuss the issue with Finance Minister in order to get more fund to lead the public carrier on the track. He also said the handling capacity of Indian airports has risen to 235 million people, which is sufficient to fulfil the need for the next few years.
