Government plans to set up institutions of repute in tribal areas for better professional and other education to them. In an exclusive interview to All India Radio, the Minister for Tribal Affairs, Kishore Chandra Deo said that the focus of the 12th plan is education for this marginalized section of the society. He said, apart from pre-metric, post-metric educational scholarships will be given to tribal students. Mr. Deo said that the emphasis is on improving the infrastructure in the tribal areas and panchayat has been involved in a big way to boost it.

The Minister added that for transparency and corruption free implementation of MGNREGA, videography of all village level panchayat meetings has been ordered. He said all the panchayat buildings in these areas will be completed soon.
