Government will soon set up an Elephant Task Force to protect the animal in key corridors. Expressing his deep concern on the tragic killing of seven elephants in West Bengal the Minister of state for Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh has said that such incidents have not taken place for the first time but its scale has been unprecedented this time. He added that he will hold discussions with the Railway Ministry to protect the key elephant corridors.
