Government proposes to set up a Committee to be headed by a Former Supreme Court judge to look the Air India's working .The committee will take up the top management's performance of the national carrier and suggest the way forward. Inaugurating the centenary celebrations of Civil Aviation in the country, the minister Vyalar Ravi said in New Delhi that workers' problems and the performance of the top management are two different issues and government will adopt a innovative approach for a turnaround for the public carrier.The Civil Aviation minister assured to consider all issues raised by Air India unions including delay in salaries, wage rationalization and human resource integration. He however, ruled out any possibility of stake sale of the state-owned carrier. Mr Ravi also informed that the low-cost subsidiary of the public carrier will be shifted to Kochi. He also noted that government will create twenty thousand jobs in aviation sector in coming years.
