The government will provide RO water this year to over four thousand inhabitations affected by Fluorosis which is caused by excess quantity of Fluoride in ground water. Replying to supplementaries during question hour in the Lok Sabha, Health Minister J P Nadda said the government has plans to provide safe drinking water to all inhabitations affected by Fluorosis by 2017. He said Rajasthan, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are the most affected states in the country. He said Indian Council of Medical Research has also set up a Task Force to deal with the situation.
