The government has decided to provide new jobs to one crore people by the end of next year. Union Minister for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya disclosed this at the sideline of the national council meeting of CII in Kolkata this afternoon. He said that the government has also decided to set up national career Counseling Centres for unemployed youth in place of employment exchanges. <br/><br/>Hundreds of such model centers will come up through out the nation by February next year. Referring to the proposed labour laws, Mr. Dattatreya assured that no rights of the workers will go away and it will be protected. He said that reform in labour laws are needed to make it simpler and in tune with the present time. The Minister said that discussions are on with the trade union organisations to reach consensus on the issue.
