Centre has decided to permit beach resorts and hotels on the sea-side for breeding fish. However, ecologically sensitive areas like marine parks, Coral reefs and wide life habitats will not be allowed to be used for the purpose. Official sources said that resorts and hotels will require prior approval of the environment ministry to ensure that the guide lines in place are properly followed. AIR Correspondent reports developed costal zones or those close to shore line or relatively in undisturbed rural areas will mainly allowed to be used. The guidelines prepared for the implementation of the scheme make it clear the constructions will not be allowed at random on the seaward side to ensure clean and green environment. The guidelines say that the fencing of fish breeding areas with vegetative cover allowed if they do not hamper access to the breeches. They also call for making necessary arrangements for the treatment of effluents and solid waste. Experts says though some more steps are needed in this direction but the present plan will go along way in increasing the fish production in the country<br/>
