The first International Film Festival for Persons with Disabilities organised by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will be held in New Delhi from 1st to 3rd December. Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Person with Disabilities, Lov Verma announced the shortlisted entries for the festival today. Mr Verma said the festival will show case cinema which will sensitize public about issues faced by persons with disabilities in their social life.<br/><br/>A total of 40 films have been selected for screening during the three day festival, out of which 13 are Indian and 24 foreign films. Yellow, a National Award winning Marathi feature film, will be the inaugural movie of the Festival. An inclusive audience, including school children, experts and differently abled persons will be invited in the screenings. Several workshops on children, film directing and screen writing will also be conducted.
