Govt to offer customized food bags under food security act

Food grains provided under the food security act will be distributed in 5 KG retail packets instead of bulk packets. This was announced by Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Prof. K.V. Thomas on Saturday. Government of India emblems also will be there in those packets. He said these steps are being initiated to curb possible malpractices. He was inaugurating the increased storage facilities of the Food Corporation of India Godown in Idukki District of Kerala.
