Govt to offer 34 blocks from 10 sedimentary basins for exploration

The government will offer 34 blocks from 10 sedimentary basins for exploration of oil and gas under the ninth round of New Exploration Licensing Policy. According to a release of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, they include eight deepwater blocks, seven shallow water blocks, and nineteen onland blocks. The area of these 34 blocks is of the order of 88 thousand and 807 square kilometer. The bidding process for this round will be formally launched on 15th of this month in New Delhi.
