Govt to make every effort to end AI crisis

The Government will make every effort to end the crisis in Air India. Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh told this while replying to a discussion in the Lok Sabha yesterday.

He said that the government will seek the co-operation of all employees, including the pilots, to resolve the crisis facing the national flag carrier.

Mr. Singh said, the government has approved a bailout package of 30 thousand crore rupees for its turn-around over the years.

He also said the Justice Dharmadhikari Committee report relating to the human resource policy for its employees will be implemented after taking all sections into confidence.

Calling upon the pilots to end their strike in the interest of all stake holders including passengers, Mr Ajit Singh said that the government will not be vindictive to them.

The National Carrier, in the meantime, has implemented its contigency plan to avoid inconvinience to the passengers due to Pilots' strike.
