Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan, a ten day Village Self Governance Campaign, will be held from Thursday. Rural Development Minister, Chaudhary Birender Singh said this in a media briefing in New Delhi. He said the aim of the campaign is to strengthen Panchayati Raj and improve rural livelihoods. <br/><br/>The Minister announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address Gram Sabhas on Panchayati Raj Day. Speaking on the occasion, Agriculture Minister Radhamohan Singh said the Gramoday campaign is very significant to improve awareness of people on government programmes.
