The Government will launch Labour Inspection scheme to end Inspector raj in the country. Inspectors have to upload a report of their inspection within 72 hours on the website and the computer will generate the area of inspection. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, Labour Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, this will fix accountability on officers and bring more transparency in their working. He said, the scheme will be launched in October this year. Mr Singh said, his ministry will soon make a provision for laborers so that they can lodge complaints related to untimely payment and inadequate wages. The Labour Minister said his ministry is providing social security for unorganized workers' by covering more than 3.85 crore families. He said, the Employee State Insurance board under his ministry has decided to set up a state-level committee to expand the health services throughout the country. Mr Tomar said the committee will be have power to spend upto Rs 5 crore in this regard. The Minister also said, rates have been hiked for doctors to Rs 300 from Rs 150 so that they can do treatment of insured patients in remote areas where hospitals are not available. Mr Tomar said, the government will also open 15,000 new ITIs soon to increase 7.5 lakh seats in the sector.
