Govt to launch Indian Workers Resource Centre in UAE

The government will launch an Indian Workers Resource Centre for its expatriates in the UAE during the President's visit.AIR correspondent reports that the resource centre will provide a 24-hour helpline and counselling service to Indian workers in distress.Talking to All India Radio, West Asia expert Professor Mustaba Khan of the Jamia Milia Islamia University said about 1.75 million Indians constitute the largest expatriate community in the UAE, but they often find it difficult to get help in time of distress.The government is also likely to release some additional funds for the distressed expatriates.
