The government will introduce a constitution amendment bill in the Lok Sabha for reservation in promotion of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in government jobs on 22nd of this month.
This assurance was given by Minister of State in the Prime Minister Office, V Narayansamy in the Rajay Sabha on Thursday. He said an all Party meeting will be convened on the 21st of this month to discuss the issue.
Earlier the house was adjourned twice as the alleged took up the issue and alleged that the government did not fulfil its promise of convening the all party meeting.
The Parliamentary Affairs minister agreed that the meeting could not take place and assured it will be held now.
Meanwhile, responding to the concern of members parliamentary affairs minister Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal told the Lok Sabha that government has taken a serious note of recent killings in the United States.
He urged the opposition not to politicise the issue. The House was adjourned till 2 p.m as some agitated members trooped into the well of House.
