The manpower in the Post Department is being increased to meet the competition of private couriers. 7800 new more posts have been sanctioned for the purpose. <br/> <br/>Replying supplementaries in the Lok Sabha the Minister of State for Communications Mr. Sachin Pilot said that for improvement in the quality of service 1100 post offices are being set up besides the salary of Gramin Dak Sewaks have been increased from 15 to 30 percent including Cycle Allowance for their conveyance. <br/> <br/>He assured the House that Department of Posts will provide better services than private couriers.<br/><br/>
