Government has decided to import coal for supplying to the power plants setup after 2009 as per their requirement. The union Coal Minister Sripraksha Jaisawal said in Allahabad today that the coal to these power plants will be provided on pool pricing basis.Replying to question he said modalities about coal import yet to be decided. He said that Coal Ministry has taken several steps to increase coal production and its transportation from coal mines for ensuring coal supply to the power plants. He said the the coal production has gone up by about 15 percent during last one year.
