Govt to impart training to 5 lakh graduates under Kaushal Vikash Yojana to work in field of GST

Government will impart training to five lakh graduates, including commerce graduates under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana to work in the field of Goods and Services Tax. This was stated by Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy during the second anniversary celebration function of Skill India Mission on the occasion of World Youth Skill Day in New Delhi today. He described GST as the biggest economic reform in the world. <br/><br/>Mr Rudy also said that the government will provide apprenticeship training to 50 lakh people by 2020 under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme. On the occasion, several courses in various sectors including banking financial services and insurance and GST accounts assistant course were launched.Besides, 51 Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra were also launched in various parts of the country.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendta Pradhan said, the LPG coverage has been increased from 14 crore to 21 crore consumers since the NDA came to power. <br/><br/>He said, it will be raised to 25 crore in the next two years. On the occasion, Minister for Textiles Smriti Irani, Health Minister J P Nadda, Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti and Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar were also present.
