Govt to impart digital literacy training to 52.5 lakh people by 2016

Government will impart digital literacy training to 52.5 lakh people by 2016. Additional Secretary, Department of Electronics and IT, Ajay Kumar, said at an event in the national capital that Centre has advanced the deadline for making people digitally literate by a year to 2016 than 2017. <br/><br/>He said, 10 lakh people have already been certified under National Digital Literacy Mission. The Scheme has been formulated to impart IT training to 52.5 lakh persons, including Anganwadi and ASHA workers and authorized ration dealers in all states and Union Territories.
