Union Minister of State for Finance Mr S. S Palanimanickam has said that the Direct Tax Code is being formulated by taking into account the current social situation in India and the International changes.Addressing a seminar on the provisions of the code in Chennai today, the Minister said that it incorporates international best practices and tax policies that would promote growth with equity.Inviting suggestions to fine tune the code, the Minister said he would forward suggestions emanating from the seminar to the concerned authorities.
