A new policy for management of electronic waste is being formulated by the centre. Replying supplementaries in Rajya Sabha on Monday, Forest and Environment Minister Mr Jairam Ramesh said guidelines for disposal of e-waste are expected to be made public by 15th of May. These will include details relating to management, recycle, reuse and recovery, treatment and disposal of electronic waste. <br/> <br/>The Minister called upon the state governments to check the facilities in unorganized sector and replace it by organized e-waste disposal units. Mr Ramesh said that along with addressing environment problem, these units will prove major employment generators.<br/>
